heart of darkness

daniel and me went to the house of sweden to see the raoul wallenberg museum. he was a swedish diplomat in budapest during ww2, and did a tremendous job with saving jews from the nazis by giving them special passports. when the soviets invaded budapest, he disappeared without a trace.

the museum is built to look like his office. when you walk in, a voice reads what wallenberg wrote on the 10th of january, the last day anyone knew where he was. there, he tells about his work, his mission, and his fear for the soviets – that they might send him to siberia. the museum, very well designed, has other info as well. this is something you can refer to when people say what, second life, i’ve heard that’s just sex and casinos.
